The Nova PC and Touch-Screen
A panel at the rear of the console provides connections to and
from the console’s integrated Nova PC:
A handbook for the built-in touch-screen is supplied with the
console. This provides instructions for modifying the brightness,
colour and other settings of the screen.
If you wish you can disconnect the internal screen and connect
an external SVGA screen using the SVGA output shown above.
This panel also provides:
•
MIDI IN
,
OUT
and
THRU
– these connections will
support any MIDI compatible device conforming to the
MIDI standard. See Chapter 7 for details on using MIDI.
•
USB Ports
– can be used to connect a USB interface
for data import or export, or software upgrades. Note
that there is also a USB port on the front of the console.
•
RJ45 and PS2
connections
– these are standard PC
connections which are unused on Eclipse.
Note that you can remove the standard PC panel from the rear
of the console in order to connect an external PC. This allows
the Nova operating software to run from an external computer
such as a laptop. By installing this option, you can have a main
and a backup PC ready to connect for redundancy. Please refer
to the “Eclipse Technical Manual” for details.
Littlelite Connectors
On the very top of the console you will find two 4-pin littlelite
connectors.
You can control the brightness of these lights from the
LITE
rotary control on the USER DEFINED panel:
