Labels
The Smart Bus VCA can be labelled as follows:
1.
Press
SEL
on the Smart Bus VCA.
2.
Press [
F3
] on the console keyboard.
The channel LABEL window appears:

Enter a new 4-character label from the keyboard.
4.
Confirm by pressing
OK
.
The new Label appears on the Smart Bus VCA Fader strip.
You can label multiple Fader or Smart Panel strips by pressing
[
ALT
] + [
F3
] as described on Page 176.
Metering
The VU meter on the Smart Bus VCA (e.g.
AUX
) displays the
highest signal level of any component channel. For example, if
the Aux Left channel is higher than Aux Right, you will see the
Aux Left signal metered on the Smart Bus VCA.
Smart Busses Patched to Multiple Outputs
Normally if a mix bus is patched to multiple outputs, you press
the
SEL
button on the Output channel to cycle through each
destination.
However, on a Smart Bus VCA, pressing
SEL
cycles through
the component channels: Left, Right, Centre and Mono. If the
component channels are patched to more than one output:
1.
Press
SEL
on the Smart Bus VCA to deploy the
component channels.
2.
Press
SEL
on the Left, Right, Centre or Mono channel to
cycle through each output destination.
