11.2. Before you begin
11.2.1. Installation of the Software
1. Insert the supplied memory card into the GPSeye IN1.
Please note:
The memory card must remain in the device during the use of the
navigation system.
2. Switch the GPSeye IN1 on.
Please note:
When delivered the GPSeye IN1 is in the delivery-sleep-mode. For
the activation of the device functions during the first use please press the On/Off
switch for 4 seconds. The same procedure is necessary if you have separated the
GPSeye IN1 from the circuit of the vehicle for a longer time.
3. Click on the
Navigation
menu item in order to start the navigation program.
Please note that before removal or insertion of the SD master card and the SD card with
the navigation software, the GPSeye IN1 must be urgently turned off. In this case press
the On/Off switch for 4 seconds and just then remove or insert the SD card into the card
shaft of the GPSeye IN1.
11.2.2. Navigation with GPS
The navigation with GPS is based on a total of twenty four satellites which are in a
geostationary orbit. They continuously send data about their position and the time.
From the sent data of at least four satellites the navigation system then calculates the
position of the GPSeye IN1. The received position data are very exact due to additional
software routines.
