9. Some information on SD Cards
9.2. SD Card and Entertainment
In order to optimize the performance of the film projection of the GPSeye IN1, it is
reasonable to store films on an own, formatted SD card and to play them from there in
the device. The storage on a USB mass storage is also possible, however, the performance
is not comparable here.
In this case the SD card should be able to meet the following minimum requirements:
• Minimum of 10MB/second sequential read speed for ultra-fast image viewing and
data transfer
• Minimum 9MB/second sequential write speed lets you capture large image files
faster
• Backed by a lifetime limited warranty
• Low power consumption for longer battery life
With third applications, for example during the movie playback, incoming eMail will not
be stored on the “Video Card”, but collected by the GPSeye IN1 in a cache. This cache
is automatically stored onto the Master SD card after it is re-inserted.
If you remove the Master SD card from the device, the button
Address book
button is
highlighted in grey and can not be used.
9.3. The Correct Handling of SD Cards
The SD card contained in the scope of delivery is a digital storage medium on which the
navigation-software is stored for the GPSeye IN1. The supplied one and also the SD cards
