16. GPS Explorer Local Edition
Now type your message using your computer’s keyboard. The number of remaining
characters will be displayed.
Simply change the phone number if necessary. Please remember to always enter the
country code, e.g. 0049.
In order to send the message, click on the green button
Send.
To confirm the security prompt, click on the button
Yes

If you do not want to send the message, click the red button
Cancel
. To confirm the
security prompt, click on the button
Yes
.
Received messaged will be saved on the SD card and can be edited and/or deleted on the
device.
16.10.2. Message via DATAoverIP
This option is available for GPS Explorer Local Edition and the Web Edition. You can
comfortably enter the text by using your keyboard of computer. Furthermore the input
of text is not limited.
With activated services you send the driver a message via DATAoverIP to the GPSeye
IN1 using your computer. Please prefer using this option since in this case no additional
transmission fees, such as sending an SMS, will be charged
Proceed as follows:
• In GPS Explorer, open the context menu of the vehicle with a click on the right
mouse button.
• Select the menu item
