The SMS will then be sent and invoiced via the monthly bill of the mobile services.
We thus recommend sending short messages via the service DATAoverIP and/or the
IN-/Out-box „
16.10.2 Message via DATAoverIP
“ on p.
If the function for the customer portal has been activated the message will then be
displayed on the GPSeye IN1.
If the device in the vehicle is not switched on, the GPSeye IN1 will turn on automatically
and/or saves the message in the case that the device is already switched off for a longer
period of time and runs in the Super-Sleep-Mode. In this case the messages will be
transmitted immediately after the GPSeye IN1 is activated.
The GPSeye IN1 reaches the Super-Sleep-Mode only with a non-continuous power supply.
Therefore, the GPSeye IN1 should always run on a permanent power supply (connection
to steady plus clamp 30).
Received messaged will be saved on the SD card and can be edited and/or deleted on the
device.
16.14.2. Data from Abroad
If your vehicle is out of range of the national mobile network of the built-in mobile phone
card and no international rate was booked,
no
GPS-data will be transferred.
The GPSeye IN1 collects and saves data for up to 48 hours - according to invoice pulsing on
the device and then transmits the collected data as compressed package. When re-entering
the national mobile phone network, the saved data will be transmitted immediately. The
settings for the invoice pulsing in other countries are subject to the respective rate. Please
contact the GPSoverIP Customer-Service(Details see previous page).
