7. Description of the Hardware
61
7.2.1. Reset Switch for Main board/Data board
The reset switch (also refer to 1 in ill.
7.2 Connections on the Backside
on p.
) separates
the GPSeye IN1 temporarily from the current supply and thus guarantees for a complete
restart of the device.
Remove the cap from the supplied pen (stylus), insert the thin top to the hole of the
reset switch and press shortly onto the switch. Avoid the unnecessary operation of this
function.
Please
do not
put the stylus into the hole on the front panel. In this way you would
destroy the built-in microphone.
7.2.2. GSM USB (Mini USB Port)
This USB port (refer to 2 in ill.
7.2 Connections on the Backside
on p.
) is used for the
ex-works installation of the GPSeye IN1. You can not use this USB port as a customer.
Use the other mini USB port on the back or the mini USB port on the front of the GPSeye
IN1 instead.
7.2.3. Power +D/A (Multi-polar Socket)
Connect the multi-polar voltage plug to the corresponding socket (refer to 3 ill.
on p.
) on the back of the GPSeye IN1. The voltage plug
is equipped with a bayonet lock so that the voltage plug can not loosen from the device
unintentionally. While locking the voltage plug to the device, please pay attention to not
over wind the lock in order to avoid damage of the electronic parts.
Connect the multi-polar socket with the supplied charger (12 V), which has a corresponding
multi-polar plug. Alternatively you can also connect a status board or the input-box here.
