7. Description of the Hardware
7.3. Outer Sides
On the right outer side you find the main switch of the power supply.
On the left outer side you find the socket for the connection of an optional GPS antenna,
under that the socket for an optional TMC antenna.
The built-in loudspeakers are on both sides of the case.
7.3.1. Connection for an optional GPS Antenna
The GPSeye IN1 already has built-in GPS and GSM antennas that function flawlessly in
normal provider networks.
Attach an additional standard GPS antenna (MMCX connection) to the antenna socket
of the left outer side (refer to 10 in ill.

intensify the input signal with weak or influenced GPS reception (for example through
big metal faces or unfavorable installation site of the GPSeye IN1 in the vehicle or near
metal/metallic disks). You can find corresponding GPS antennas in our Internet-Shop
7.3.2. Connection for an optional GSM Q-Plus Antenna
Even though the GPSeye IN1 offers five internal antennas restrictions in bandwidth or
frequencies in worldwide networks may occur. Unfortunately this is the state of the most
recent technology. Not even the usage of high-performance parts can avoid this forfeit.
For an optimal communication acceptable field strength is requiered. By connecting an
additional GSM Q-Plus Antenna to the antenna socket of the left outer side (refer to 10
