8.1.1. Holder for flexible installation: Tips
The scope of delivery of the GPSeye IN1 contains the holder for the flexible installation
(car fixture with suction-feet), also refer to see ill.
6.1 Supplied holders: flexible (left) and
on p.
. The fixture swivels and is pivoted and therefore allows an optimal
positioning of the device in the vehicle.
Before you use the GPSeye IN1 in the vehicle, you should connect the suction-holder with
the device for the flexible installation. For this purpose go ahead as follows:
1. Put the GPSeye IN1 on the front (screen down, bottom of the device turned to
you). Pay attention to not put the GPSeye IN1 directly onto a hard surface to
avoid possible scratches on the device or the screen.
2. Insert the hooks of the flexible fixture in the corresponding gaps.
3. Move the flexible fixture to the right and press strongly in this direction until the
fixture bolts with a click.
The holder is produced so that the GPSeye IN1 and the holder are connected as
tightly as possible with a narrow tolerance. You have the correct position if the
drilling for the security screw is just affected by the carrier plate.
Of course you can also safeguard the GPSeye IN1 with the supplied security screw.
However, in regard to the simple dismantling of the suction-carrier this not absolutely
reasonable. We recommend the use of the supplied screwing-carrier as better
protection.
4. The suction-carrier is suitable for the fast and flexible fixing on all smooth, clean
and fat-free surfaces (for example the windshield).
