12.10 ARP Past Position Display
The ARP can show equally time-spaced dots (maximum 10 dots at intervals of 30 seconds, 1, 2,
3 or 6 minutes) marking the past positions of any targets being tracked (max. 10 targets for
GP/GD-280; 20 for GP/GD-380/680).
If a target changes its speed, the spacing will be uneven. If it changes course, its plotted course
will not be a straight line in the TM mode. In TM, the past position display is produced relative to
North (True Trails). In RM, it is relative to North or Heading as selected.
To turn the past position display on/off:
1. Press [MENU], [9], [3], [5] to open the ARP menu and select Page 1.
2. Press

[↓]
to select Track Display.
3. Select On or Off as appropriate.
4. Press
[↑]
to select Page.
5. Press
[→]
to select 2.
6. Press
[↑]
or
[↓]
to select Track Interval.
7. Press
[←]
or
[→]
to select ARP track plotting interval desired.
8. Press the [MENU] key several times to close the menu.

Note 1:
The past position display is shown with solid lines (instead of dots) on the plotter display
and radar/plotter combination display.
Note 2:
If you do not require the past position display select OFF at step 3 in the above
procedure.
