11.6 Cursor Offset
The origin of the EBL can be placed anywhere with the trackball to enable measurement of range
and bearing between any two targets and assesses the possibility of collision.
11.6.1 Measuring range and bearing between two targets
This procedure shows you how to measure the range and bearing between two targets using the
example below.
1. Display the No.1 EBL and the No. 1 VRM.
2. Push the [EBL OFFSET] control.
3. Place the origin of the No. 1 EBL, for example, on a target of interest (Target A in the
example) by operating the trackball.
4. Push the [EBL OFFSET] control.
5. Adjust the EBL rotary control to bisect the other target with the No.1 EBL.
6. Adjust the VRM rotary control to place the No.1 VRM on the inner edge of the other target
until the EBL passes through another target of interest (Target B in the example).
To cancel the cursor, push the [EBL OFFSET] control again.
