5.1.6 Entering waypoints by Loran C LOPs
1. Press [MENU], [4], [1] to display the Setting menu.
2. Press
[↑]
or
[↓]
to select WP Entry Method.
3. Press
[←]
or
[→]
to select Loran C.
4. Press the [WPT ENTRY] key to display waypoint list.
5. Press
[↑]
or
[↓]
to select vacant waypoint.
6. Press the [ENT] key. The following display appears.
7. Enter LOP1 and LOP2. If the LOPs are 26214.3 and 47314.6, for example, press [2], [6], [2],
[1], [4], [3],
[↓
], [4], [7], [3], [1], [4], [6],
[↓]
.
8. Enter estimated latitude and longitude position of the LOPs' intersection. If the latitude is
34

40N and the longitude 135

20E, for example, press [3], [4], [4], [0], [0], [0], [0], [

[5], [2], [0], [0], [0], [0]. Use the key to switch from N to S, E to W and vice versa.
9. Press the [
↓
] key to enter comment.
10. Press the [ENT] key.
11. Press the [WPT ENTRY] key to close the waypoint list.
Note : L/L data cannot be calculated if the estimated latitude and longitude differ greatly from the
Loran C position. An error message appears in this case. Reenter accurate latitude and
longitude.
