11.7 Target Trails
It is possible to display the trails of radar echoes in the form of synthetic afterglow. The afterglow
can be selected in a single tone or gradual shading as set on the Target Trail menu.
11.7.1 True or relative target trails
You may display target trails in true or relative motion (only true trail on TM). Relative trails show
relative movements between targets and own ship. True motion trails require a gyrocompass
signal and speed input to cancel out own ship's movement, and present true target movements
in accordance with their over-the-ground speeds and courses.

To select true or relative target trail presentation:
1. Press the [MENU], [9], [3], [1] to display the Radar menu.
2. Press
[↑]
or
[↓]
to select Target Trail.
3. Select Relative (or True) from the Trail Mode field as appropriate.
4. Press the [MENU] key several times to close the menu.
