6.1.4 Setting the anchor watch alarm
To set an anchor watch of 0.05 nautical miles about your ship's position, for example, do the
following:
1. Set a waypoint, usually own ship position.
2. Press [MENU], [ 5], [1] to display the Alarm menu, and select Page 1.
3. Select Anch from the Arr/Anch field.
4. Press
[↓]
, set the alarm range and press the [ENT] key. For example, press [0], [0], [0], [5],
[ENT] to enter 0.05 nm. The setting range is 0.001 to 99.999 nm.
5. Press the [MENU] key several times to close the menu.
When your boat drifts by the distance set here the audio and visual alarms will be released. You
can silence the audio alarm with the [CLR] key.
6.1.5 Automatic scale selection upon arrival at destination
waypoint
You can have desired chart scale automatically selected for you when you near a destination
waypoint.
1. Press [MENU], [5], [1] to display the Alarm menu, and select Page 1.
2. Set Auto Zoom to Yes.
3. Enter chart scale and press the [ENT] key. The chart scale range is 1000-950000.
4. Press the [MENU] key several times to close the menu.
6.1.6 Canceling arrival, anchor watch alarm
To cancel the arrival or anchor watch alarm do the following:
1. Press [MENU], [5], [1] to display the Alarm menu, and select Page 1.
2. Select Off from the Arr/Anch field.
3. Press the [MENU] key several times to close the menu.
