4.2 Host Group Management

Add a host in the ETERNUS DX in the following procedures.

When registering a host by selecting from the host list
(1)
Click the [Now Connected] tab.
(2)
Select the host that is to be registered from the FC host list and input the FC host information.
The main setting items are as follows.

Description
WWN
Input the WWN that is to be displayed.
FC hosts matching or partially matching the entered WWN are displayed.
When not using the WWN for filtering, leave this item blank.
•
If the WWN is not displayed when clicking the [Rediscover] button, make sure that there is no error
in the connection environment, such as the connection between the host and the switch, and the
CA port settings of the ETERNUS DX. If there is no error in the connection environment, contact the
Support Department, or specify the WWN manually.
•
If an error screen appears under the following conditions, check the parameter settings.

The "Name" is not entered
-
The "Name" does not satisfy the input conditions
-
The "Name" is already used for the registration target host or the same "Name" is already used
in the ETERNUS DX
-
The number of hosts that is to be registered is "0"
-
The number of registered hosts has exceeded the maximum number for the ETERNUS DX
