Clock Tolerance Failed Alarm
The ISX 5312/5314 generates a Clock Tolerance Failed alarm when it detects the T-1
Transmit Clock is out of the user-specified tolerance range and the unit has internally
changed its clock source to one in the user-selectable priority fallback clock list. When a
higher-priority clock recovers, the unit does not switch to that timing source. The
higher-priority clock source must be selected manually from the T7 or SNMP manager’s
console or from the ISX 5312/5314's front panel.
Switched to Dial Backup Alarm
The ISX 5312/5314 generates a Switched to Dial Backup alarm when the specified DTE
interface (2 or 4) switches to dial backup mode..
Switched to Dedicated Alarm
The ISX 5312/5314 generates a Switched to Dedicated alarm when the specified DTE
interface (2 or 4) returns communication to the DS1 line.
Dial Backup Connection Failed Alarm
The ISX 5312/5314 generates a Dial Backup Connection Failed alarm when the
specified DTE interface (2 or 4) tries unsuccessfully to establish a dial backup
connection for 60 seconds. The ISX 5312/5314 then waits 30 seconds and retries to
establish the backup connection. This process continues until the connection is
established, the DS1 line is back in service, or four retries are unsuccessful.
APC Switch to Protection Line Alarm
The ISX 5312/5314 generates an APC Switch to Protection Line alarm when an APC
switch from the primary line to the protection line occurs. The alarm is cleared when the
service is switched back to the primary line.
Hot Spare Switch Alarm
The ISX 5312/5314 generates a Hot Spare Switch alarm when a hot spare switch from
the primary line to the spare line occurs. The alarm is cleared when the service is
switched back to the primary line.
