2. The screen displays the current user identifier on the top line, with a cursor
located beneath the leftmost space. Press the 1 or 2 button to scroll through the
different letters, numbers, and symbols that can be entered in the space. The
flashing
> arrow in the right corner of the screen indicates that there are more
available spaces to the right. When you change a digit, a reverse-video

appears in the lower right corner of the screen.

3. When the desired character is displayed, press the > button to move the cursor to
the next space.

If you want to insert a character between two entered characters or delete an entered
character, follow Step 4. If you want to copy an entered character, clear an entered
character, or clear all entered characters, follow Step 5. If you do not want to use any of
these options, skip to Step 6.
