Entering the Telephone Number
For both automatic and manual call origination to function properly, you must enter into
memory the telephone number of the modem you want to call. The number can be a
maximum of 38 characters long. The characters that you can enter in the telephone
number are digits

. Then follow the instructions given in
the previous section, “Adding Characters to the Setup String.”
Automatic Dial
The Dial Conditions parameters specify the Dial Condition Events (alarms generated on
each T-1 line on the remote unit) under which the remote ISX 5312/5314 automatically
dials the CMS 400. You can enable or disable each alarm independently for each T-1
line.
