Payload Loopback
The Payload Loopback loops receive data input from the line to the transmit data output
toward the network. This data is retimed and reframed, and bipolar violations are
removed. Receive data passes on to the TDM bus, but the DTE control and data leads
are forced to an inactive state. (See Figure 6-8.) Remote T7 communication is lost
during this test.

Activating the Tests
To activate any of the ISX 5312/5314 tests, you must enter the Diagnostic Mode
submenu. To do so, follow these steps, starting from the Top Level menu:
