The display shows the status of the following:

Line
- indicates which line is being used. Possible displays are

(Hot
Spare disabled),
DS1a
(primary line), or
DS1b
(spare line).

Mode
- indicates whether the Hot Spare feature is enabled. Possible
displays are
Disable
(disabled) and
Enable
(enabled).
Port Status
The Ports Status submenu allows you to monitor the current operating status of the
individual ports DTE 1 and DTE 2 (ISX 5312) or DTE 1, DTE 2, DTE 3, and DTE 4
(ISX 5314).
To monitor the current operating status of a DTE port, follow these steps, starting from
the Status submenu:
