T-1 Line Tests

The DS1a and DS1b submenus provide the parameters that allow you to activate Local
Line Loop tests, Local Channel Loop tests, Bundle Loop tests, and Pattern Tests on T-1
lines A and B, respectively.  The parameters are identical for both line submenus.

Note

:  The Local Channel Loop and Bundle Loop are available only on units equipped

with two T-1 line interfaces.

The Local Line Loop test loops all the DS0 channels (01 through 24) on the DS1 line
towards the network.  It is bidirectional for channels assigned to a DTE.  It is not
bidirectional for cross-connected channels.  To activate this test, follow these steps,
starting from the Diagnostic Mode submenu:
