Initiating a Dial Backup Connection Manually
To initiate a dial backup connection manually, follow these steps, starting from the
DTE 2 Backup submenu:
1. Press the button beneath
Force
. If the DTE 2 Backup Mode parameter is
disabled, the screen displays the message:
Invalid: DBU is disabled
. Press any
button to restore the display back to the current menu selection.

2. The screen displays the DTE 2 Backup Selection submenu. Press the button
beneath
SwDBU
. The bottom line of the screen displays the message:
Function
Completed
. If a connection is not mapped to DTE 1, the bottom line of the
screen displays the error message:
DS1 Connection Missing
. Press any button to
restore the display back to the current menu selection.
