DSU Status
The DSU Status submenu allows you to monitor the current operating status of the basic
ISX 5312/5314. To do so, follow these steps, starting from the Status submenu:
1. Press the button beneath

2. Press the button beneath State . The screen displays the ISX 5312/5314's current
operating state.

The display shows the status of the following:
•
DTE
- indicates the number of DTE ports available.
•
Ds1
- indicates the number of DS1 lines available. Possible displays are
1
(for units equipped with a single T-1 interface) or
2
(for units equipped with
two T-1 interfaces).
•
TxC
- indicates the current source of timing for the ISX 5312/5314's
transmit clock. Possible displays are
Intrn
(internal timing);
DTE1
,
DTE2
DTE3 , DTE4 (timing derived from the respective DTE external clock
input);
DS1a
,
DS1b
(timing derived from the respective T-1 line).
Press the Escape button to return to the DSU Status submenu.
