DTE Tests
The DTE1, DTE2, DTE3, and DTE4 submenus provide the parameters that allow you to
activate tests on DTE 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. The parameters are identical for each
submenu.
To activate a loop test (V.54 Digital Loop or Digital Loop), follow these steps, starting
from the Diagnostic Mode submenu:
Note : When the ISX 5312/5314 is operating over a dial backup connection, you can
initiate the Digital Loop and Test Pattern only. The V.54 Digital Loop and PN127
Digital Loop are not available.
If the ISX 5312/5314 has Dial Backup Mode enabled, but is not currently operating over
a dial backup connection, all DTE tests are available. However, you should not run these
tests on a DTE port (2/4) that is connected to an external dial backup device, since there
are no connections to the DS1 line for these ports, preventing a data path to the far end.
