4. The screen prompts you to enter the security code. When the ISX 5312/5314 is
shipped from the factory, the predefined security code is CSU . Enter the
predefined code unless you changed it under the Code parameter. If you
changed it, enter the current code. The cursor is located under the leftmost digit
of the 3-digit field. To increase the digit, press the
1 button; to decrease it, press
the 2 button. To copy a character into the next space, press the 3 button. Press
the < and > buttons to move from space to space. When you change a digit, a
reverse-video

appears in the lower right corner of the screen.

5. When the correct code is displayed, press the 4 button. If an incorrect code is
entered, the bottom line of the screen displays the message:
Invalid code
entered
. Press the Escape button and re-enter the code. When the code has
been accepted, the screen displays the Telnet Security submenu.

Entering the User Identifier
When the Excalibur ISX 5312/5314 is shipped from the factory, the predefined Telnet
user identifier is
RACAL-DATACOM . The user identifier can be any alphanumeric
name up to 16 characters long. To change the predefined user identifier, follow these
steps, starting from the Telnet Security submenu:
