5. The screen prompts you to enter the security code. When the Excalibur
ISX 5312/5314 is shipped from the factory, the predefined security code is CSU .
The cursor is located under the leftmost digit of the 3-digit field. To increase the
digit, press the
1 button; to decrease it, press the 2 button. To copy a character
into the next space, press the 3 button. Press the < and > buttons to move from
space to space. When you change a digit, a reverse-video
C
appears in the lower
right corner of the screen.
Cpy
is a time-saving feature. For example, the quickest way to enter the
predefined code is: 1) Increase the first digit to
C
. 2) Copy
C
to the second
digit. 3) Increase the
C
to
S
. 4) Copy
S
to the third digit. 5) Increase the
S
to
U
.
Note: The predefined security code must be entered in uppercase letters.

6. When the correct code is displayed, press the 4 button. If an incorrect code is
entered, the unit beeps a long beep and the screen prompts you to re-enter the
code. When the correct code has been accepted, the top line of the screen
displays the new parameter setting. The front panel function you selected is now
locked.
