The T7 Modem Connect Configuration submenu allows you to perform the following
functions:

• Add characters to the setup string for a generic modem.

• Enter the telephone number.

• Specify the conditions under which the remote ISX 5312/5314 automatically dials

the CMS 400.

• Specify the number of times the ISX 5312/5314 redials a call if the previous

attempt is unsuccessful.

• Specify the conditions under which the remote ISX 5312/5314 automatically

disconnects a call.

• Originate calls.

• Disconnect calls.

The following sections describe each of these procedures.

Adding Characters to the Setup String

The Setup parameter allows you to add 40 characters maximum to a generic modem’s
predefined setup string.  (This parameter is non-functional for the ALM 3226.)  The
modem must support the predefined setup string:  

AT&FE0Q0V0S7=nnn

.  Therefore,

• Response Type

• Connection Timer
