9. The screen displays a message asking you if you would like to accept the
changes. You must press the button beneath

to enter the changes into
memory. If the changes are accepted, the bottom line of the screen displays the
message:
DS0 Assignments Accepted
. If you attempt to assign a different
number of channels than you have allocated to the DTE under the DS0
parameter in the DTE submenu, the screen displays the message:
DS0s for
DTE1 Invalid.

located under the leftmost digit. The

option indicates range. To assign
contiguous channels, you must have

displayed on the bottom line. If

channel assignment parameters.

The top line of the display shows, from left to right, three fields, that indicate the
following:

(first field) - indicates the initial DS1a DS0 channel number to be
assigned. The available options are

24

(second field) - indicates the final DS1a DS0 channel number to be
assigned. This number must be higher than the number selected for the first
field. The available options are

.

None
(third field) - indicates the DTE to which you are assigning the DS1a
DS0 channel number. The available options are
None
and
DTE1
