2. Press the 1 button to start the test. If you want to abort the test while it is in
progress, press the 2 button. If you want to insert an error into the test pattern,
press the 4 button. (This verifies that the error detector is working properly.) To
reset the error counter back to 0, press the 3 button.

3. Press the Escape button to return to the Diagnostic Mode submenu.
To send a code to the remote unit requesting it to initiate or terminate a PN127 Digital
Loop Test, follow these steps, starting from the DTE1 Diagnostic submenu:

to send a code to the far-end unit requesting it to
initiate the test. Press the button beneath

to send a code to the far-end unit
requesting it to terminate the test. It takes approximately 2 seconds to send the
code. During this time, the code sent (

) is displayed on the top line
of the screen. When the unit completes sending the code, the top line of the
screen displays
