*Initial setting
Use of parts of non-EPSON specifications, improper mounting, damage, distortion, dirt,
adherence of foreign matter?
*Main parts to check
DISPENSE CLUTCH ASSY, DEVE CONTACT PLATE ASSY,
Developer Assy, MAIN HARNESS ASSY, MCU PWB
Replace and remount the
concerned part(s).
Go to step 2.

*Engine and controller division check
Can a test print (single sheet / consecutive printing, about 10 sheets each) be performed
normally with the engine alone?
Printer controller check
(If an error still occurs
after replacing, go to
step 3.)
Go to step 3.

*Drum surface image check
Are the various toner images developed on the Drum surface?
• If you think there may be an image in the process of being transferred while printing, turn
the power OFF, and visually inspect Cin50% patch on the Drum surface.
Go to step 8. Go to step 4.

*Drum surface picture image check
• If you think there may be an image in the process of being transferred while printing, turn
the power OFF, and visually inspect Cin50% patch on the Drum surface.
Go to step 5. Go to step 11.

*DISPENSE CLUTCH mounting check
Is the DISPENSE CLUTCH properly mounted?

With tool:
Go to step 6.

Without tool:
Go to FIP-2.33
If not restored, go to step
7.
Remount the DISPENSE
CLUTCH ASSY.

*DISPENSE CLUTCH check
Is the DISPENSE CLUTCH functioning properly?
• By using the DIAG too, check by the Digital Output Test device code “25”.
Go to step 7. Go to FIP-2.33

*DEVE. CONTACT ASSY check
Is the DEVE. CONTACT ASSY contact surface distorted?
Are there foreign matters on the DEVE. CONTACT ASSY contact surface?
Replace the DEVE.
