distortion, dirt, adherence of foreign matter?

DRUM CARTRIDGE, HVPS, 2ND BTR ASSY, MAIN FUSER ASSY, HEAT
ROLL, PRESSURE ROLL

Treatment (when there is a
problem)

Paper dampness
No longer occurs when replaced with
new paper?
Replace paper. (The user
should keep paper in a
place where there is not
much humidity.)

Faulty electrification/developing
Is the toner image on the drum
properly developed?
*If you suspect that primary transfer is
in progress while printing, turn the
power OFF and visually inspect the
drum (position prior to transfer).
Check “Faulty HVPS.”

Faulty primary transfer
Is the toner image on the drum
properly transferred to the TRANSFER
BELT ASSY?
*If you suspect that primary transfer is
in progress while printing, turn the
power OFF and visually inspect the
TRANSFER BELT ASSY.
Check “Faulty HVPS.”

Faulty HEAT ROLL/PRESSURE ROLL
Is the HEAT ROLL/PRESSURE ROLL
damaged? Is there dirt or foreign
matter adhering to the HEAT ROLL/
PRESSURE ROLL?
Replace or clean the HEAT
ROLL/PRESSURE ROLL.

Faulty DRUM CARTRIDGE
No longer occurs when replaced with
new DRUM CARTRIDGE?
Replace DRUM
CARTRIDGE.
