*Initial setting
Use of parts of non-EPSON specifications, improper mounting, damage, distortion, dirt,
adherence of foreign matter?
*Main parts to check
FUSER ASSY, MAIN HARNESS ASSY, MCU PWB
Replace and remount
the concerned part(s).
Go to step 2.

*Engine and controller division check
Can a test print (single sheet / consecutive printing, about 10 sheets each) be performed
normally with the engine alone?
Printer controller check
(If an error still occurs
after replacing, go to
step 3.)
Go to step 3.

*EXIT CHUTE SWITCH push-in check
Is the operation for the actuator of the
EXIT UPPER ASSY
is as follows?
„
When the EXIT UPPER ASSY is closed, turn on the EXIT UPPER SWITCH .
„
When the EXIT UPPER ASSY is opened, turn off the EXIT UPPER SWITCH.
„
With tool:
Go to step 4.
„
Without tool:
Go to step 5.
Replace the faulty
part(s).

*EXIT CHUTE SWITCH check
Is the EXIT CHUTE SWITCH functioning properly?
• By using the DIAG tool, check by the Digital Input Test device code “20”.
Replace the MCU
PWB.
Go to step 5.

*EXIT CHUTE SWITCH power check
Is the voltage between P17-10PIN <=> P17-11PIN 5VDC ?
Go to step 6. Go to FIP-2.1

*EXIT CHUTE SWITCH signal check
Is the voltage between P17-10PIN <=> P17-11PIN as follows?
„
When the
EXIT UPPER
is closed, the value is 0VDC.
„
When the
EXIT UPPER
is opened, the value is 5VDC.
Replace the MCU
PWB.
Go to step 7.

*MAIN HARNESS ASSY continuity check
Is the a proper continuity between J17 <=> J161?
Replace the EXIT
CHUTE SWITCH. Replace the MAIN
HARNESS ASSY.
