3.2.17 Controller
3.2.17.1 CONTROLLER PWB (PL14.1.10) Removal
1.
Pull out the MAIN P/H ASSY.
2.
Remove the RIGHT COVER ASSY. (See Section 3.2.5.11.)
3.
Disconnect the 2 connectors (P/J1, P/J600) of the CONTROLLER PWB.
4.
Remove the 8 screws (silver, w/collar, 8mm) securing the CONTROLLER
PWB by the lower area.
5.
Remove the 6 screws (silver, w/collar, 8mm) securing the CONTROLLER
PWB by the upper area.
6.
Remove the hexagon screw that is sticking out from the board surface
(beside the socket 2).
7.
Remove the 4 screws (silver, w/collar, 8mm) securing the CONT. PLATE
ASSY.
NOTE: When removing the CONTROLLER PWB in the next step, be sure to
watch out for the connectors and MCU PWB located behind the
CONTROLLER PWB to avoid damaging them.
8.
Remove the CONTROLLER PWB together with the CONT. PLATE ASSY.
9.
Remove the 2 screws securing the CONT. PLATE ASSY to the parallel
interface connector on the CONTROLLER PWB, and remove the
CONTROLLER PLATE ASSY.
W A R N I N G
Since the lithium battery is installed to the CONTROLLER
PWB of AcuLaser C8500, be sure to pay attention to the
following:
Do not short-circuit the lithium battery.
When mounting the lithium battery, be sure to set it in
the correct direction paying attention to its polarity.
Do not warm the battery or throw it in the fire.
C A U T I O N
Be careful when servicing on the electrical parts of this
printer so you do not damage the electrical elements with
static electricity.
