Replacing the footswitch
1.
Remove the scanner from the holder and set it safely aside. For a
device with a trackball, remove the trackball from the spherical
recess.
2.
Flip the footswitch down.
3.
Detach the footswitch by pulling it out diagonally out of the guide
rail. To do this, lift the device up slightly and carefully at the front or
turn it over onto a soft base onto the service cover. In this process,
hold on to the monitor tightly so that it does not tilt to the side
uncontrollably.
4.
First insert the new footswitch in position (A) diagonally.
5.
Then insert the footswitch on the left side diagonally in the rail and
move it back into the correct position up to the stop.
6.
Insert a new air filter if needed.
7.
Latch the footswitch in.
8.
Adjust the footswitch's switching point with the adjusting screw (see
"Adjusting the footswitch [→ 62]").
