Regions of Interest (ROI’s) are defined for the thyroid uptake isotopes based upon percent of 
the primary peak.  The ROI’s should be sufficiently wide so that the entire peak is within the 
measurement window.  Do not set ROI limits on the slope of a peak.  The default settings 
listed in Figure 6-12 provide an adequate window for good measurement results.  The 
CAPTUS

®

 2000 software automatically sets the ROI’s based upon the peak keV.  After 

changing the ROI’s, select 

DONE

 to save them or 

CANCEL

 to return to the main THYROID 

UPTAKE.  If you try to change the ROI’s while there are active patients, a warning message 
window will appear as seen in Figure 6-13.
