TURN ON PROCEDURE 

Once the system components are mounted securely and all cables are connected you are 
ready to turn the system on.  There are three power switches associated with the system: 
1) the monitor has a power switch, 2) the computer has a power switch, and 3) the printer 
has a power switch.  Turn on all three switches. 
 
Your system will power up, go through the computer boot up sequence, and display the 
Windows

®

 start up screen.  To run the CAPTUS

®

 2000 software, double click on the 

CAPTUS 2000

®

 icon.  Figure 4-1, the main menu screen, will appear.  Before beginning any 

measurements, allow the system to warm up at least 30 minutes.  It is recommended that the 
system be left on with the CAPTUS

®

 2000 program running because the MCA board is 

powered whenever the CAPTUS

®

 2000 software is running.  Adjust the monitor display  for 

optimal viewing under lighting conditions at your facility.
