VIEWING, EDITING, DELETING, AND RESTORING PROTOCOLS
Once a list of protocols has been created, you can view each protocol. From the Protocols
window as seen in Figure 6-2, select the protocol from the drop down list and then select the
VIEW command button. A PROTOCOL window will appear as seen in Figure 6-3, but all
fields will be filled with the protocol’s information, the information will appear as inactive, and
the
CANCEL button will not be shown. This is because this information cannot be edited,
only viewed. Select the DONE button to exit back to the Protocols window of Figure 6-2.
In order to edit a protocol, go to the Protocols window as seen in Figure 6-2 and select the
desired protocol from the drop down list. Then select the
EDIT command button. If the
protocol is being used in a patient study, a message window with a warning to finish all
studies that use the protocol will appear as seen in Figure 6-9. To exit, select the
CANCEL
button. To edit the protocol, select the OK button.

A PROTOCOL window will appear as seen in Figure 6-3 will appear, but all fields will be
filled. Change the desired fields and select
DONE to save the changes. Select CANCEL to
exit to the Protocols window without saving the changes.
In order to delete a protocol, go to the Protocols window as seen in Figure 6-2 and select the
desired protocol from the drop down list. Then select the
DELETE command button. If the
protocol is being used in a patient study, a message window with a warning to finish all
studies that use the protocol will appear that is similar to Figure 6-9. To exit, select the
CANCEL button. To delete the protocol, select the OK button. A window will appear with all
the protocol’s information and a Protocol Confirmation box as seen in Figure 6-10. Select
YES to delete or NO to exit to the Protocols window without deleting.
