GENERAL OPERATIONAL SETUP 

The software version installed on your CAPTUS

®

 

2000 can be identified by selecting 

About

 

from the menu bar located at the top of the main menu screen.  Information concerning the 
software version cannot be altered by the user.  Any software upgrades will automatically 
change the version number accordingly. 
 
The CAPTUS

®

 2000 has system operating parameters and reference information which is 

contained in the System Setup module.  The Setup module contains System Parameters, 
Normal Values, Isotope Library, and Reference Standards.  Many parameters have been 
predefined or supplied with default values.  However, you may change these parameters or 
enter different values.  The System Setup module may be accessed by selecting 

Setup

 from 

the menu bar located in the top of the CAPTUS

®

 2000 Main Menu screen. 

 

NOTE:

  Before beginning any measurements in the Setup module, follow the Quality 

Assurance Procedures outlined in Chapter 5 to insure correct operation of the CAPTUS

®
