To abort the count, select the 

ABORT

 

ACQUISITION 

button, which appears during live 

acquisition, and the count will not be saved.  To stop the count and save the counting data 
before the preset live time has elapsed, choose 

STOP & SAVE

.  When you are finished 

counting, select the 

EXIT

 command.  The display will return to the Main RBC Survival Test 

screen.  If two repetitions have been selected in the counting protocol, each of the 
subsequent count screens will appear twice and two measurements for each count will be 
recorded.  The results of the two counts will be averaged.  Both the raw count data and the 
calculated values will appear in the result view box after each sample is counted. 
 
The first measurement in the counting sequence is a background measurement.  After 
selecting the 

START PROCEDURE 

button, Figure 8-53 will appear.
