To begin the data acquisition, select the
OK button. To cancel data acquisition, select the
Cancel button. You may stop the counting sequence at any time by selecting the ABORT
button which appears during all acquisition. The data for any counts which have been
completed will be displayed in the results box. The partially completed counting sequence
can be saved at this point. Once a counting sequence has been interrupted by the
ABORT
command, it cannot be restarted. Choosing the START DATA ACQUISITION button will
result in the initiation of a completely new counting sequence. During the counting process,
counting time, peak counts, and number of spectra remaining will be updated each second
and displayed in the text boxes located in the upper right of the screen. The live spectrum
will appear in the spectral display area, with ROI’s highlighted in red. Results will be
displayed and updated after each counting sequence.
Displaying Results
The results of the Time Activity Analysis can be displayed or printed in either graph or tabular
form, and data recorded as raw counts, decay corrected counts, or both. To switch from
graph to tabular form, choose the desired option from the Display Mode box, Figure 10-24.
Select the desired data for display from the Data Display box, Figure 10-25.

Figure 10-26 is an example of the graph format, displaying only the decay corrected data.
