Serial Communication
All communications for operation of the MagnaTran 7 robot by an external
controller may be accomplished using a standard RS-232 or RS-422 serial com-
munications link. Connect the cable for serial communications to the connector
on the front I/O panel as shown in
Host Communication

Connect the serial communications cable to the robot at
SIO1
.
2.
Route and connect the serial communications cable to the unit that will
be controlling the robot.
Peripheral Communication
