CHAPTER 20: Adding Memory with a Media Card 

 

360 

Remove the back cover by sliding it down off 

the bottom of the BlackBerry. 

Then insert the card with the metal contacts 

facing down and slide the card towards the 

top edge of the BlackBerry, with the printed 
label facing up. 

You don’t even need to power off the 

BlackBerry; you can insert the card with the 

BlackBerry on. When the card is correctly 
inserted, a Media Card Inserted message 

will appear on the screen. 

IMPORTANT:

 Removing the card 

To remove the media card, press it into its slot further until it pops out a little. Then slide it 

down and out.  

NOTE: 

You may damage the card if you simply pull it down without pushing it up first. 

Verify the Media Card Installation and Free Memory 

It is a good idea to double check that the card is installed correctly and how much free 
space is available.
