Add or Remove Apps 

Your BlackBerry comes with most of the major apps you need already installed. 

However, there are literally thousands of third-party apps available in virtually any 

category you can think of to help you get the most out of your BlackBerry. 

There a re apps f or p roductivity, r eference, m usic a nd f un-----like lots of great games. One 

nice thing about the BlackBerry platform is that there are lots of ways to find and 

download apps beyond the official App World. (See chapter 26 on page 431 to learn 
about BlackBerry App World.)  In this chapter, we will show you how to download, install 

and remove apps outside of App World. 

Downloading and Adding New Software   

One of the very cool things about your BlackBerry is that, just like on your computer, 

you can go on the Web and find software to download. You can download everything 

from ring tones and games to content that is, like your email, pushed to your BlackBerry 
on a regular basis. 

Today, there are hundreds of software applications and services to help extend the 

capabilities of your BlackBerry. We have used or are currently using the programs or 
applications in Table 30-1. Find many more programs using BlackBerry App World on 

page 431.
