Application Loader 

 

Use this icon to add or remove software from your 

BlackBerry. You can also use this to update your 

BlackBerry Operating System or System Software. There 
are easier ways to load or remove software from your 

device; see the App World chapter on page 431 and the 

Add / Remove Software chapter on page 475. 

First, make sure your BlackBerry is connected to your computer and it is shown in the 

lower left corner of the Desktop Manager screen next to Device connected (PIN):. If 

you see none, then you will need to try to get it connected. Some of the easier things to 
do are unplug/replug the USB cable, try plugging into another USB port, shutting down 

and restarting Desktop Manager, or restarting your computer.  

Now, click the Application Loader icon to see the screen in Figure 2-26.
