Note

Integration Time
Description
The 4284A's measuremen t time is determined b y the following.
In tegration Time (A/D con v ersion)
Av eraging Rate (n um b er of measuremen t a v eraged)
Delay Time (time dela y b et w een the trigger and the start of the
measuremen t)
Measuremen t result's display time
On this page, only the In tegration Time in the ab o v e items can b e
set, the other settings except for the measuremen t result's display
time can b e set from the MEAS SETUP page.
The 4284A uses an in tegrating A/D con v erter in the in ternal circuits
to con v ert the analog signal to a digital signal. The In tegration
Time is the time required to p erform an A/D con v ersion. Generally ,
a longer con v ersion time will result in more stable and accurate
measuremen t results. SHOR T, MEDIUM, or LONG in tegration
times can b e selected. The measuremen t time of eac h in tegration
time is sho wn in \Measuremen t Time" in Chapter 9.

P erform the following steps to set the in tegration time.
1. Mov e the cursor to the INTEG eld. The following softkeys will
