Procedure:
1. Set up the equipmen t as sho wn in Figure 10-2.
Note
If the In terface Bo x is not a v ailable, use the follo wing cables and
adapters as a substitute. Figure 10-3 sho ws the test setup without
the in terface b o x.
BNC(m) to BNC(m) Cable, 30 cm Agilent PN 8120-1838 2ea.
T ee, BNC(m)(f )(f ) Adapter Agilent PN 1250-0781
2. Set the m ultimeter to A CV.
3. P erform a SYSTEM RESET as describ ed in \System Reset".
4. Set 4284A's con trols as follows:
T est F requency: 1.25 kHz
High P o w er Option: OFF
5. Display the MEAS DISPLA Y page.
6. Set the Oscillator Lev el in accordance with T able 10-3, and
conrm that the Multimeter reading and the Lev el Monitor
reading are within the test limits given in the table.
7. Set the T est F requency to 960 kHz and p erform step 6.
Note
Steps 8 through 11 should b e p erformed only when the 4284A is
equipp ed with Option 001.
8. Set the con trols of the 4284A as follows:
T est F requency: 1.25 kHz
High P o w er Option: ON
9. Display the MEAS DISPLA Y page.
10. Set the Oscillator Lev el in accordance with T able 10-4, and
conrm that the Multimeter reading and the Lev el Monitor
reading are with in the test limits given in T able 10-3.
11. Set the T est F requency to 960 kHz and p erform step 10.
