OPEN Correction
Description
The 4284A's OPEN correction capabilit y cancels errors due to the
stray admittance (G, B) in parallel with the device under test (Refer
to Figure 4-10 ).

The 4284A uses t w o kinds of OPEN correction data as follo ws.
The OPEN correction data is taken at all 48 preset frequency
p oints, indep enden t of the test frequency y ou set. Except for
those 48 frequency p oints, the OPEN correction data for eac h
measuremen t p oint o v er the sp ecied range is calculated using the
in terp olation metho d (Refer to Figure 4-11 in the next page). The
follo wing is a list of the 48 preset frequency p oints.
