With a value of “0”, the
multi
MAUS
menu mode can only be accessed by pressing the
Shift and MENU buttons at the same time.

3.3.2.2. “MOMENT FUNCTIONS” is used to switch on locomotive functions (F1– F20, e.g. the
horn on a sound locomotive or a digital coupler) as long as the button is pressed by
pressing the respective function button (for at least 1 second).

If you press the button only briefl y, the desired function is switched on normally.
Select the desired state using the arrow buttons.

3.3.2.3. The
multi
MAUS
has a “CHILD LOCK” that can be adjusted on multiple levels and ac-
tivated after calling up the menu item using the arrow buttons. To lock an area, a code
(4 digits – no letters) must be entered. The code is requested if you want to call up a
locked area of the
multi
MAUS
.

• “LOCK MENU”: The three main menus cannot be called up.
• “LOCK MENU PRG”: The quick programming mode is also locked.
• “LOCK LIBRARY MENU PRG”: In addition to the points mentioned above, all chang-
es to the locomotive library are also prevented.

Each entry must be confi rmed with the Light / OK button.

“SMARTSEARCH” helps you fi nd locomotive addresses (more on this in the „Glossary“
on page
75
).

“X-BUS”
“X-BUS” is the connection language used by digital components such as the
multi
MAUS
to
communicate with each other. In the two “ADDRESS” and “AUTOMATIC” sub-items, a profes-
sional user can change all the information and settings (more on this in the „Glossary“ on page
75
).
We would like to point out that normally no settings have to be made in this menu item. This
may only be necessary if the
multi
MAUS
is used in combination with digital devices from other
manufacturers.
3.3.3.1. After calling up the “ADDRESS” sub-item, the current X-BUS address is displayed. You
can simply overwrite it.
