SINUMERIK 840Di Manual (HBI) – 06.03 Edition

3. Now, turn on the PCU and choose the menu option “Service menu” (hidden)

from the menu of the boot manager using the CursorDown key and then
press the Input key.

The following menu will appear:

DOS Shell

Start Windows NT (Service Mode)

SINUMERIK System Check

Backup/Restore

Start PC Link

Reboot (warm restart)

4. Select Start PC Link using the key “8”.

The system prompts you to enter a password:
