5.2.1

 

Installation of the Vibration Dampers 

The MIC6-Marine series is supplied with wire rope vibration dampers, which must be used to 
maintain the permissible vibration conditions. For the MIC6 series devices used for stationary 
gas engines, the rubber vibration dampers supplied must be used. 

MIC6-Marine

 

  

 

Note that the wire rope vibration 
dampers have a hole on one side and 
a thread on the other. The side with 
the hole is used for the installation 
on the device. 

1.

 

Fasten the four vibration 
dampers 

 to the MIC6. For this 

purpose, use four screws 
M8x30 

, eight washers M8 

and four lock nuts M8 

. 

2.

 

Fasten the MIC6 to the selected 
installation location using the 
vibration dampers. To do this, 
use four screws M8x20 

 and 

four rim lock washers M8 

. 

3.

 

Turn the screws into the thread 
of the wire damper with the 
specified torque.

Fasten the ground strap to 
the ground pin (see 

Installation of the Ground 
Strap

 on page 36).
